What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Local storage is a related browser feature that can keep a preference on the same device without creating a Goskyscout account.
Essential preference storage
Goskyscout uses local storage named goskyscout-analytics-consent to remember whether you accepted or declined analytics. This preference is necessary to apply your choice consistently. The website host may also use essential technology for delivery, security and abuse prevention.
Google Analytics
If you select Accept analytics, Google Analytics measures page visits and events such as flight searches, route-guide selections, affiliate redirects and search errors. Google Analytics may set identifiers such as _ga and a property-specific _ga cookie. Goskyscout configures analytics storage as denied until consent and keeps advertising storage, ad-user data and ad personalisation denied.
Microsoft Clarity
If you select Accept analytics, Microsoft Clarity may use cookies and interaction data to help Goskyscout understand how visitors use pages and search tools. Clarity is not loaded by Goskyscout before analytics consent is granted.
Travel partners
When you follow a link to Travelpayouts, Aviasales, an airline or a travel agency, that provider may set its own cookies or similar technologies on its website. Its policy and controls apply after you leave Goskyscout.
Changing or withdrawing consent
Select Cookie settings in the footer at any time to accept, decline or change analytics consent. If you change an accepted choice to declined, the page reloads to stop the current analytics session. You can also delete cookies and local storage using browser settings.
